chantel mcgregor

Chantel McGregor is one of the most exciting guitarists in the UK!

At the age of eight Chantel became the youngest person in the country to pass a Rock school exam and at 12, she was jamming in her native Bradford and evolving into an incredible musician.

Described as a prodigy, at 14 Chantel was told by major labels "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!" Wisely ignoring that advice, she enrolled at the world-renowned Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college’s history, to achieve a 100% pass mark, with 18 distinctions. Chantel left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music and a coveted prize, for outstanding musicianship.

Chantel's debut album, Like No Other, was produced by Livingstone Brown, who has worked with such artists as Tina Turner, Bryan Ferry, Robin Trower, ABC and Bill Withers and the end result, is a beautifully crafted compilation, that showcases her versatility and genuine talent, as a singer-songwriter!

Jamming on stage with Joe Bonamassa on two of his tours so far, Chantel is a formidable guitar player, a very talented singer-songwriter and her live performances are truly captivating!

A recent quote in Nightshift, Oxford's music magazine, reinforces this, "Chantel McGregor deserves to be held up as a messiah of blues-rock and given her own mountain, she doesn't strum or pick her guitar but almost bends and distorts it, as if she's channelling the ghost of Hendrix through her fingers"

In 2013, Chantel was voted Guitarist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. Winning four awards in the last three years in competition with highly regarded peers, is something to be extremely proud of in itself, but what a refreshing change and a justifiable first in the history of the British Blues Awards, that a female artist was voted Guitarist of the Year!!

In the Get Ready To Rock review of The Great British Rock & Blues Festival at in January 2014, Pete Feenstra stated that "Chantel McGregor arguably drew the biggest crowd of the festival, just as the air conditioning gave out. Her mix of shredding, tapping, blues, covers and ballads mesmerised the crowd".

When explosive natural ability collides with fiery, emotionally charged compositions, the result is Aynsley Lister; an incredible guitarist whose brand of blues-based rock delivers contemporary song writing fuelled with the kind of heart and soul that’s missing from so much modern music. Whether passionately writing and recording his own material or mesmerising audiences at his live shows, one thing is abundantly clear: music is hard-wired to his DNA and flows from his fingertips like sonic bolts of lightning. With over 100,000 albums sold, lashings of critical acclaim and years of high profile touring, Lister’s resumé speaks for itself and firmly secures his position as a leading light in the resurgence of British blues-infused music. Aynsley’s latest release, Home, is out now on Straight Talkin’ Records.

Larry Miller is undeniably one of the must see blues/rock guitarists, bringing his unique showmanship to every performance. He is famous for his mesmerising guitar playing and high octane shows, wowing audiences in the UK and Europe. Larry will be showcasing his new album ‘Soldier Of the Line’, which is receiving much critical acclaim. From power blues of ‘One Fine Day’ and stomping rockers like ‘Mississippi Mama’ to the beautiful love song ‘Bathsheba’.

One of the hardest working musicians on the live music scene, he was a regular headliner at The Marquee in London and produced a barnstorming set at the Reading Festival. He is now more popular than ever and holds the record for the most encores at The Cambridge Rock Festival. Reviewing the festival the Get Ready To Rock journalist said “Crowd reaction to his performance was ecstatic ...Joe Bonamassa watch out, there's another new blues hero snapping at your heels”.

In ‘Classic Rock Presents The Blues’ magazine readers poll, Larry Miller was voted number 3 only to be beaten by Joe Bonamassa and Walter Trout, plus a 5 page article proclaimed Larry Miller was “Keeper of the British Blues Rock flame”.

“Larry Miller explodes on stage and hits you right between the eyes. Polished, professional and highly entertaining, he serves up faultless playing as well as a lively, fun, hard-hitting show. He is one of the biggest crowd pleasers on the live circuit today and one of the nice guys. His engaging personality brings a dimension of showmanship to his performances like no other. This powerhouse blues/rocker is filling the niche left behind by Gary Moore and Rory Gallagher. The man has flair, memorable riffs, serious soloing as well as being a great blues vocalist and a consummate showman.”

“Full of intense passion, power, exciting guitar playing with both rockers and ballads. "Elegantly crafted compositions provide sturdy foundations for that deep, expressive soloing style of his and we, for one, are sold. Blues-rock brilliance." Guitar & Bass magazine.

“Put Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore and SRV in the ring together and you'd be close….. “

"A rock album with blues undertones; and it's brilliant" Classic Rock Society. “The new Gary Moore” Radio Caroline.

If you like Rory Gallagher, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Walter Trout or Jimi Hendrix, you want to see Larry Miller. This is where blues meets rock.
