re-releasing many of his previous solo albums.Glen Matlock said:

Matlock is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who’s also a Rock
& Roll Hall Of Fame inductee. The original bassist and
songwriter of the Sex Pistols, Matlock is responsible for
co-writing iconic songs including Anarchy In The UK, God Save
The Queen and Pretty Vacant. He has collaborated with artists
including Iggy Pop and Primal Scream, and is also an in-demand
guitarist, playing live with the likes of the reformed Faces.
Matlock has released several solo studio albums, most recently
with legendary guitarist Earl Slick (David Bowie/John Lennon)
and drummer Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) for his 2018 LP Good
To Go.
The
GodfathersLegendary British rock & roll
group The Godfathers celebrate the 35th anniversary since their
formation with an almighty bang via a brand new double A side
single, ‘I’m Not Your Slave’ & ‘Wild And Free. These recordings
are the first to feature the newly revitalised Godfathers’
line-up of founder member & frontman Peter Coyne. guitarists
Richie Simpson & Wayne Vermaak, drummer Billy Duncanson &
bassist Jon Priestley. A highly anticipated new studio album
will follow in 2021. The release of ‘I’m Not Your Slave’ & Wild
And Free’ represents an exciting new chapter for the London
band, but The Godfathers have had a long & illustrious career.
They were formed in 1985 by brothers Peter Coyne (vocals) &
Chris Coyne (bass/vocals) from the ashes of their previous band
The Sid Presley Experience. The Godfathers toured extensively &
quickly earned a serious reputation for their electrifying brand
of primal rock & roll & their incendiary live shows around the
world. Forming a recording partnership with famed producer Vic
Maile they released 4 critically acclaimed, smash hit
independent singles on their own Corporate Image label (‘Lonely
Man’, ‘This Damn Nation’, ‘I Want Everything’ & ‘Love Is Dead’)
which alongside a brutal cover of Lennon’s ‘Cold Turkey’ were
compiled into their seminal debut album release ‘Hit By Hit’ in
’86 & signed a worldwide deal with Sony/Epic records in ‘87. The
Godfathers unleashed the storming rocker ‘Birth School Work
Death’ as a single in ‘87 & scored a US Billboard top 40 hit
after massive college radio airplay & heavy MTV rotation. Then
the classic ‘Birth School Work Death’ album was released in ’88
(includes the ‘hit’ anthem title track, & singles ‘Cause I Said
So’ & a re-recorded ‘Love Is Dead’) & was promoted with
extensive tours of the UK, Europe & America as they cemented
their reputation as one of the best live acts of the period.
Celebrity fans included among others David Bowie & Johnny Depp.
The Godfathers’ mob inspired image, raw lyrics & guitar-driven,
edgy rock & roll sound was in direct contrast to the clean,
synthesized sounds that mainly dominated the mainstream charts
at that time & foreshadowed the Brit-Pop/Rock resurgence of the
early 1990’s. 1989’s album ‘More Songs About Love And Hate’
(with its iconic Liz Taylor/Richard Burton cover art & featuring
the American college radio smash single ‘She Gives Me Love’ and
live favourite ‘Walking Talking Johnny Cash Blues’) was followed
by the death of producer Vic Maile & the departure of guitarist
Kris Dollimore, who was replaced on guitar by Chris Burrows for
‘Unreal World’ (which included the American radio hit ‘Unreal
World’, ‘This Is War’ & a searing cover of The Creation’s
psychedelic classic ‘How Does It Feel To Feel’) in 1991. A
provocatively titled live Godfathers’ album ‘Dope, Rock & Roll &
Fucking In The Streets’ was issued in 1992 on Corporate Image &
the band toured the globe constantly. With a new line-up The
Godfathers released 2 further albums on Intercord Records, a
self-titled album in ‘93 (AKA ‘The Orange album’ because of it’s
distinctive cover art) & ‘Afterlife’ in ’95, before the group
finally imploded in 2001. In 2008 The Godfathers reformed
their original line-up to promote a vastly expanded 2CD version
of their seminal debut album ‘Hit By Hit’ & performed a select
number of British, European & American dates & festivals
together for the first time in nearly 20 years. These included
the highly successful revival of their traditional Saint
Valentine’s Day Massacre concerts with knockout, triumphant
performances at The Forum in London in February ’08 & Chicago’s
Metro in February ’09. The Godfathers have become increasingly
influential in recent years with Top 5 American artists Local H
& Spoon releasing cover versions of Godfathers’ classics “Birth
School Work Death’ & ‘This Damn Nation’ & Mars Volta citing The
Godfathers’ primal rock & roll sound as a direct influence on
their ‘Noctourniquet’ album. ‘The Godfathers - Shot Live At The
100 Club’ a Live DVD/CD was released November 1st 2010 to mark
the 25th anniversary of the bands formation & ‘Jukebox Fury’
followed in March 2013 to significant critical acclaim. A new
studio album ‘A Big Bad Beautiful Noise’ was unveiled in
February 2017, preceded by the single, ‘You Don’t Love Me’. Rave
reviews hailed the album as the band’s best in many years, with
Vive Le Rock claiming it was “up there with the Godfathers’ ‘80s
classics”. A critically acclaimed live album ‘This Is War! - The
Godfathers Live!’ followed in 2019. The storming double A side
‘I’m Not Your Slave’ & ‘Wild And Free’ sees them taking another
sonic step forward & they are currently writing new material for
a 2021 album release. The Godfathers now feature:
Peter Coyne - Vocals (The Godfathers’ founder member, ex The Sid
Presley Experience) Jon Priestley - Bass (ex The Damned)
Richie Simpson - Guitar (ex Heavy Drapes) Billy Duncanson -
Drums (ex Heavy Drapes) Wayne Vermaak - Guitar (ex The Great
St. Louis)
HUNG
LIKE HANRATTY are the most talked about band on the
circuit. They sing about every day life what people get angry
at, but say nothing. Like picking dog mess up. People riding
mobility scooters when there is nothing wrong with them. Etc.
They were voted as the best live band in 2016 by punk
planet. There album released in 2016 on the mighty FLICKNIFE
RECORDS has been a huge success world wide. There energetic
hilarious stage show will have you in stitches, Make a point of
watching them. You won't be disappointed.
Heavily
influenced by 1977 punk attitude, and bands like Toy Dolls, macc
lads, pork dukes, damned etc, HUNG LIKE HANRATTY are top of
there game. What you see is what you get.
DUNCAN
REID & THE BIG HEADS
There are only two
people in the entire world who can claim to have played with the
Ramones while not actually being tagged with the ‘Ramone’
nom-de-plume. Duncan Reid is one of those people.
As
singer and bass player of Joey Ramone’s favourite band, The
Boys, Duncan rode on the crest of a wave during punk’s original
late-1970s heyday as part of a wider collective of friends and
peers that included Sex Pistols, The Clash, Generation X and a
host of other power-chord pioneers. The Boys remain one of the
best-loved and influential bands of their generation.
Montevideo, from the Big Heads’ debut album Little Big Head,
earned Duncan the keys to the Uruguayan capital (the only other
musicians to achieve this being Elton John and Paul McCartney).
Following a cornucopia of stellar reviews for 1st album
Little Big Head, The Big Heads developed their unique,
effortlessly entertaining, melodic brand of harmony laden
powerpop punk with: “The Difficult Second Album”.
May
2017 saw the release of their third album “Bombs Away”. Fourteen
catchy little ditties about life, death, paranoia and Viagra
which featured heavily, in print and online, among the “best of
2017” reviews.
In 2020 4th Album “Don’t Blame Yourself”
landed to ecstatic reviews. ““There isn’t a bad song on this
album. Neither are there good songs. There are just phenomenal
songs. The phrase all killer, no filler was made for records
like this.” The Ginger Quiff.
And on April 23, to keep
everyone occupied until the next gigs are possible, a live album
is released on Bandcamp of a show at Akkurat, Stockholm from
2018. Recorded without the band’s knowledge by the venue it
perfectly captures the excitement and sheer good looks of
everyone involved!
Spunk
Volcano singer, songwriter and the star studded Eruptions,
inspired by the joys and hates of life itself, they will take
you on a nostalgia trip to better times, or a glimpse at a day
in the life of the everyday working class hero in the world
today, perhaps a visit to darker times with a glimmer of hope,
tongue in cheek words of joy or despair, honest words in a
fragile scared society. Touring up and down the UK and many
tours in mainland Europe over the last 7 years, releasing
several albums and EP's on the way there is no end in sight!
because it isn't just punk rock, this is SPUNK ROCK! SV
and the Eruptions may contain two members of UK punk rock and
rollers Dirt Box Disco, but they are far from being a part-time
side project. Unchained from the restraints of his guitar and
taking on lead vocal duties, Spunk Volcano has free reign to
indulge himself and his songwriting to whatever style he sees
fit. From sweetly sappy love songs, to hardcore thrash and
everything in between, there are no rules or boundaries for him
or his Eruptions. for Spunk Volcano, the melody, the sing-a-long
and the ear-worm always remains the number one focus.
We
formed as a 5 piece in north London in early 2014 taking our
name from the colour of the flooring in our rehearsal space at
T.Chances, initially we were a blues/hard rock band but over the
last 2 years have evolved into what can be called a dirty
rock’n’roll band with elements of garage rock, proto punk, 12
bar blues and a bit of psychobilly.
We released a live
five track EP in September 2016 and around the same time our
original drummer decided he wanted to leave and do other things
so we brought in a new one and set about hitting the road.
2017 saw us playing a number of festivals including
Deerstock and Undercover plus gigs with The Outcasts, GBH,
Richie Ramone, UK Subs, 999 as well as playing the famous 100
Club as part of Resolution Festival.
Our debut album
“Rock and Roll Carpet” is due for release on Flicknife Records
very soon.
We
are Desensitised, an all-grrrl rock band from Nottingham. Our
latest singles have been featured on Planet Rock and BBC
Introducing. Our new album is set to be released early 2019 via
Sound-Hub Records.
Formed
in sept 2013, KNOCK OFF are a hard hitting punk trio,
taking influences from the early 80's U.K punk scene.
30
years on and the country’s still a mess. KNOCK OFF’s sound is
fueled by anger and disillusionment at a country going down the
pan and life in general.
A raw and powerful sound mixed
with anger, energy and passion, with stick in your head
choruses, KNOCK OFF will leave their mark. With
3 albums under their belts released through Step-1
Music, Randale Records and Longshot Music, and a Single launched
through Human Punk Records KNOCK OFF are aiming to be heard.
The
power Punk Rockers, which are Plague UK. In 1976 Punk band The
Plague, known to have played the Roxy Club more times than any
other, and have supported the likes of Slaughter And The Dogs,
U.K. Subs and many more in the late 70’s, in 1978 The Plague
released a single called 'In Love' which charted, and was played
on Radio, and from this an album was produced called The X
tapes. The band disbanded back in 1981, and they decided
to reform in 2005, and in 2015 The Plague put out an album
called 'What Do You Expect', but again the band went their
separate ways in 2016. Marc Jefferies the Singer and
creator of the original Plague has formed a new band called
Plague UK, a new monster, full on Punk Rock. Plague UK still
perform some of the old original Plague classics including ‘In
Love’ and ‘End Of The World’, But have loads up their sleeve for
2018 with brand new powerful material. The year is already
proving to be a very busy one as they have shows up and down the
country booked all through the 2018, and they have just finished
the recording of the New EP ‘Suck It Up’ which their hoping to
be released end of August 2018. The first Music Video will also
be released from a track taken off the EP called ‘Red Button’.
The band consists of: Marc Jefferies (original
songwriter and front man of The Plague) – Guitar/Lead Vocals
Simon Godfrey – Guitar/Lead Vocals Martin Taylor – Bass
Lee Morrell - Drums
As
one of the earliest punk rock bands in
Nottingham, Verbal Warning are clearly enjoying their second
lease of life since reforming in 2005.
The band released
their best album to date - No Half Measures – in May 2017 and
continue to build their following with their lethal combination
of serious songs and comedy topics.
The current line up
of John Warning (vocals), Paul Warning (bass), Tone Deff
(guitar) and Ant Warning (drums) played a band record 54 gigs in
2017 and are set to surpass that this year.
Along with
the Great British Alternative Festival, they are already booked
for a string of festivals this summer including Strummercamp,
Rock & Bike Festival and Blyth Power Ashes.
The band have
played some huge festivals in the past, including Rebellion –
the world's biggest punk festival - and Concrete Jungle, and
have supported many of the big names from the 1977 punk rock era
that VW base their sound on.
The band's first gig - as
the tastefully named Dead Presleys - was at Nottingham’s
legendary Ad Lib Club way back on 7th December 1980.
When
that name didn't go down well with the local teddy boys, it was
changed for safety reasons and bands like Chumbawumba, Conflict,
Napalm Death, Resistance 77, Flux of Pink Indians and the
Subhumans then all shared bills with the
newly-named Verbal Warning in those early years.
Since
their 2005 revival, the band have written three albums of
thrilling new material, A Kick in the Verbals, Red Star Radio
and the new offering, No Half Measures, all keeping the 'sound
of 77' alive and kicking. or As one of the earliest punk

Pete Bentham &
the Dinner Ladies are artpunks from Liverpool, UK. They play
primitive rock and roll and sing about things they believe in.
They fuse the raw rock and roll of The Cramps with the
invention of The Fall and the pop sensibilities of X Ray
Spex. Their songs are witty and quirky tales of northern working
class life. Always original, funny and poignant.
They are
part of Antipop Records of Liverpool, have released three full
length albums and two vinyl EP's and have played hundreds of
shows around the UK and Europe and festivals such as Rebellion,
Nice & Sleazy, Common Ground, Fire In The Mountain and Sound
City.
They are part of the European DIY underground scene
and run their own regular Free Rock & Roll events at Sound,
Liverpool. This is Kitchencore!

Rage DC
originally formed in 1996 and have shared a bill with, The
Undertones, UK Subs, Tony James (Damned), Chelsea, Sham 69, GBH,
Vibrators, Stiff Little Fingers, Vice Squad, the Dickies, The
Wernt and many more.
Rage DC have been described as
Traditional British Punk band which is no surprise considering
the founder member Loric also started punk band The Skrews in
the 80’s who were well known for their appearances at the
infamous Feltham Football Club gigs. Rage DC are: Loric
(lead guitar & lead vocals), Graham (rhythm guitar & vocals) and
Ziggy (drums) and Chris (bass & vocals).
Rage DC could
be a punk band from the height of 1977, they are massively
popular with all of the people that go to see them, they always
give a full on show and truly care about the punk community.
The music is genuine and relevant, delivered with no fuss and a
ton of attitude. There are sing (shout) - along choruses and
some fantastic musicianship. This is jump around, punch the
air, tap your feet and enjoy yourself punk, roll up your
sleeves, and get down and sweaty with this lot.
"Old
enuff to know better, too stupid to care, four blokes from the
edge of the world (Penzance) knocking out singalong 3 chord
anthems about the important things in life like magic mushrooms
and shark attacks....."
The
Deckchairs formed in 1978 in Reading. Playing their unique brand
of fun punk they became successful locally and further afield,
and gradually learned how to play their instruments. The
original members were joined by Jonny Wahwah on drums in the
1980s and they built on their success, releasing a (now rare)
cassette of a live gig. Taking a break of 25 years or so, they
reformed and are now gigging all over the country, and have
released two CDs of material, “No Refund” and “Up Yours”. Always
going down well wherever they play, their tuneful and daft songs
make a change from other punk bands and are often described as a
breath of fresh air.
Described
in Ian Glasper's book as "half Splodgenessabounds, half Crass",
The Bus Station Loonies have been doing anarchic things with
silly string and cider since 1995. Based in Plymouth, the band
set the Guinness World Record for the most gigs performed in 12
hours and have never looked back, nor fully recovered, since.
Stalwarts of the DIY punk scene and darlings of the Channel 4
documentary, The Loonies have two full albums under their
ever-expanding belts, a handful of EPs, and countless
space-fillers on numerous compilations. Their "vicious headbutt
between Johnny Moped and Jello Biafra" approach is sure to put
the pun back into punk and an ogo in your pogo.

Formed
in 2012, Headsticks have developed their own brand of
Revolutionary Punk Roots Rock'n'Roll, through constant gigging
which has seen their profile continually rise alongside the
growth of a fanatical fan base. Supports with bands as varied as
The Wildhearts, Lindisfarne, Spear Of Destiny, Buzzcocks, and
Ferocious Dog have seen their music cross over genre barriers
and has been received with the same enthusiasm and passion that
they themselves produce in their live shows.... honest and raw
social commentary delivered with a wry sense of humour,
uplifting and always giving 100%.

"Change Persona are an Energetic Punk band from Sutton, South
London that has been playing together for over 13 years.
The band's influences touch on a wide range of artists in the
punk genre; from skate punk heavyweights Rise Against, to punk
rockers Green Day and Sum 41. This can be heard through the
versatility across Change Persona's three releases, with a blend
of melodic sing-along anthems and hard hitting, foot stomping
belters.
Live performances are often complimented for the amount of
energy and crowd interaction on display, with 2019 having been
the band's busiest for gigs off the back of the launch of their
album, "Breaking Point".
Over a decade on, these young punks from South London are
looking and sounding like they really mean business."
